UFO Crash/Retrievals:

Leonard H. Stringfield, 4412 Grove Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45227

Leonard Stringfield, who resides in Cincinnati is the world's foremost expert on the subject of alleged crash landings of UFOs and their recovery by governmental forces.  His interest in UFOs began in 1945 during the Second World War when he was on a plane in the Pacific Theater of Operations, while on the plane he observed several fiery balls of light.  This was before the terms UFO or flying saucer existed.  Back then unusual objects in the sky were called "foo fighters" because it was thought at the time they may be a secret weapon of the enemy.  What they were however is not known.

This is Stringfield's sixth status report and it includes recent information and updates on the Roswell, New Mexico crash of July 1947, the Kecksburg Pa. crash of December 1965 and the lesser known but more recent crash of a UFO off of Long Island in September 1989.  As Stringfield states some of his informants may or may not be passing on accurate information.  Thus how much of these stories are true and how much are hoaxes or deliberate misinformation is an educated guess. For example the May 1989 story of a crash in South Africa of a UFO is believed to be a hoax.  Someone went to the trouble of faking official-looking S. African government documents telling of this alleged crash.  It is frustrating to be unable to separate the truth from reality of these stories. Perhaps sometime in the near future more of the truth will be known.  Leonard Stringfields' status report is recommended reading for those wanting to know the latest information on stories of crashed landings of UFOs.
