ROUNDTOWN UFO SOCIETY SKYWATCH Annually on the 2nd Thursday of September at 6 pm
Roundtown UFO Society’s annual SKYWATCH meeting is the organization’s September meeting held in an outdoor setting. We’ve been fortunate to have been able to have it on Sandy Barthelmas’ property which was owned back in 1948 by a farmer named Mr. Bruce Stevenson. The place has a special meaning to the organization. Pete Hartinger (one of the founders and director of the organization) calls it the place of “America’s First Classic UFO Encounter”. His story about the event can be found HERE.
We all bring our lawn chairs and sit around the foundation of an old silo that appears to be shrinking as the organization grows. See the slideshow below. If the weather isn’t cooperating, we’ll postpone it until the next month’s meeting time. We usually get a fire burning as time goes on, and by dark, it’s crackling and shining in the background, mesmerizing and enhancing some of the stories folks share near by it. It’s warmth is comforting when the night is chilly. If the weather is supposed to be chilly, folks need to remember to bring some extra clothing, jackets or blankets to keep yourself warm around the concrete silo foundation where the main meeting takes place. We usually have a grill going when people are arriving so they can enjoy a bit to eat as they converse, which includes something for the Vegans and those with an enormous sweet tooth.
It’s a relaxed environment where folks can enjoy being around others who are like-minded and share the ever-so-slow disclosure that is happening worldwide. It’s for those who are still questioning the reality and wanting to learn more and for those whose experiences take them beyond the phrase, “We believe” to the realm of “We know” that we are sharing this world with other entities that have come to visit from other worlds and/or dimensions. The event is open to the public, so come on over and rub some elbows for an interesting evening. It might end up being around 11pm before the fire goes out and all the folks have left. We take care of Sandy’s property as she graciously allows us, year after year to come and share.
